Other products on this site are developed with enthusiasts, guides, and experts in their field, but for Whitewater, our founder Dave Shields is our expert. After guiding on the Ocoee and the Gauley for years, he moved to Utah and hasn't stopped rafting, expanding into multi-day and even sliding back into a hardshell from time to time. 

Our whitewater products are the results of thousands of hours of cold water, big hits, and thankfully mellow swims (most of them). Rest assured this gear is developed by and for whitewater guides and will handle years of regular use and thousands of river miles.
